The system requires no PC and is fully automatic, with functions like playback, pause which can be operated directly from device. The standalone phone recorder unit comes standard with a 16GB MicroSD card which allows up to 600 hours of crystal clear mp3 format recording. Maximum MicroSD card capacity for the device is 32 GB
