Excellent SHARP Convection Microwave

We actually just want to let Sharp know about the excellent product we bought 31 years ago! It was a Sharp Convection Microwave, the electronic one, they just came on the market when we bought it in 1982! In the 31 years we had to change the light bulb once and now the microwave side decided enough is enough! Everything else is still working 100%. Unfortunately according to the repair person, we will not be able to find the part for our model anymore! It’s as if I’m loosing a family member! In any case we just thought Sharp would like to hear how good their product served us.

I wondered if there is an older microwave in South Africa than mine that is still in daily use and in perfect working condition?
Bought around 1972/73 (not sure), but if I send you a picture of the microwave, you might know when it was launched in SA. Perhaps useful for advertising purposes or just worth knowing?

Superior products

Sharp Tv’s, Cellphones, Cameras, Digital Cameras, Microwave Ovens etc. Why are these products not found in every store anymore, as I believe Sharp is an outstanding Japanese product, my friends aunt has still got her Microwave from the 80’s. Its now over 30 yrs old. Sharp is a superior product, yet we constantly get LG & Samsung foisted on us.

Still perfect after 39 years

Just thought to send you a photo of my almost ‘antique’ microwave… got it when the first microwaves (think so) were available in SA. Think around 1976??

It’s still in a perfect working condition after about 39 years and I use it almost every day!!

SHARP products are special

Very sorry for my english, but I would like to make this commentair concerning one of your products. I use to live in Sud Africa from 1976 until 1985. In 1979 I bought a Sharp Elsi Mate EL326 a solar cell pocket calculator. I use it time to time the first 2 or three years. Later I put it away .It was rolling from one desk to another until it disapear. Today January 26th 2016 I was cleaning old staff I keept in boxes and I have received a big surprise when I found my calculator after so many years. Much bigger was my surprise when I pushed the button to clic it on and it was working as it was the first day, 37 years ago. Still I can’t believe it. Probably the solar cells are made with material from outspace because I never hear that cells last so long. Thank you Sharp for this special product

my convection oven is still state of the art

I would like to thank Sharp for my still state of the art convection microwave oven. It was a wedding gift 31 years ago and still not a single problem. Thank you Sharp for over 3 decades of absolute pleasure using my convection oven. I might have aged in just over 3 decades but my convection oven is still state of the art!! I absolutely LOVE my oven and cannot even try to imagine. . life without it. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

Still going strong 30 years

Hello, I just thought you might like this little snippet. I purchased a ELSIMATE EL220 30yrs ago . I’ve just finished totaling sum bills on it. this morning SO your thinking.
Well its got the original sharp battery in it and still going strong 30yrs !!! talk about long life batteries.

Most amazing appliance

Just want to tell you today my Sharp Carousel Convection microwave died. It is like having a death in the family. I had it since 1987 and my mother had it before me, so minimum 32 yrs old. It was used numerous times a day for cooking and heating my milk for my 10+cups of coffee a day. Congratulations on the most amazing appliance ever made. It will be sorely missed by the whole family
