Psitek Fusion 500 Router
The Psitek Fusion 500 (replaced by Fusion 230) is a call router that can choose between two telephone networks. Calls on the incoming port are routed to one of two outgoing ports based on the telephone number that was dialled. The Fusion 500 analyses numbers as they are dialled and chooses one of the two outgoing ports based on its internal pre-programmed routing tables.
In its simplest configuration, the Fusion 500 can be used to route telephone calls to either a fixed-line network or a mobile network adaptor (Fusion 100). It can also be used to choose between two Fusion 100 units that are set up for two different network providers.
A number of Fusion 500 units can also be cascaded to provide more complex routing options.
